These Terms of Service, also referred to as Terms and Conditions, cover your use of NinjaType’s website, typing tools, multiplayer features, guides, and Web Stories. NinjaType is maintained by Vivek Gupta. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. If you cannot legally agree to these terms on your own, use the service only with the permission and supervision required from a parent or guardian.
Using NinjaType
NinjaType provides free typing practice, finger lessons, performance history, solo challenges, multiplayer races, and a fictional Hacker Typer. An account is not required for these tools. You are responsible for your device, browser, internet connection, and any costs of accessing the site.
Use the service in a way that is lawful, respectful, and consistent with the purpose of the feature. You may stop using it at any time. Keep a separate copy of any information you need to retain, because the service is not a permanent backup for your results or messages.
Fair play and acceptable conduct
Do not use NinjaType to:
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or target another person, or share their private information without permission.
- Post unlawful content, spam, malicious links, or material that infringes another person’s rights.
- Manipulate race results with automated input, fabricated submissions, or other cheating tools.
- Bypass security checks, interfere with other participants, exploit vulnerabilities, or overload the website or multiplayer service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, infrastructure, or information.
Report bugs and security concerns through the contact page. Open-source contributions and ordinary search-engine indexing remain subject to the relevant license and applicable law.
Multiplayer rooms and messages
Room names, nicknames, avatars, chat, and race results are shared as part of multiplayer. Room visibility and participant controls depend on the mode. A room name or invitation link does not make the room confidential, and other participants may record or share what they see.
Choose a nickname you are entitled to use and share only information you are comfortable making available to the room. You remain responsible for messages and other content you submit. By submitting that content, you give NinjaType permission to transmit, display, and temporarily store it as needed to operate the feature and address abuse. You retain any rights you hold in your content.
NinjaType may reject submissions, remove content, disconnect participants, close rooms, or restrict access when reasonably needed to address abuse, cheating, security risks, technical problems, or violations of these terms. Room hosts may also have controls provided by the interface. Messages are not guaranteed to be monitored or retained.
Some race experiences include computer-controlled opponents or a projection of a saved pace. A displayed opponent or activity indicator is not a promise that another person is currently connected.
Scores, lessons, and local progress
Typing scores describe performance under the selected test settings and scoring rules. Different modes, dictionaries, durations, devices, and connection conditions can produce different results. NinjaType scores, stars, and lessons are practice tools, not professional certifications or a guarantee of a particular speed gain, qualification, examination result, or employment outcome.
Saved settings and progress are primarily kept in your browser. Clearing storage, using another browser, or losing access to a device can remove that information. Network interruptions, invalid submissions, or service failures can affect online races and results. NinjaType does not promise to recover lost local history or replay an interrupted race.
Keep your typing sessions comfortable and take breaks when needed. The guides provide general educational information, not individualized medical or ergonomic advice.
Hacker Typer and fictional scenes
Hacker Typer is an entertainment simulator. Its code output, network displays, transfers, and Access Granted or Access Denied messages are fictional visual effects. They do not perform real intrusions or prove access to another system.
Use the simulator for clearly fictional demonstrations, recordings, or entertainment. Do not present it as evidence of a real compromise, use it to threaten someone, or use it to obtain money, credentials, or another benefit through deception.
Intellectual property and external services
NinjaType’s source code is available under the license included in its GitHub repository. Third-party code, avatar artwork, fonts, and other materials may carry their own licenses. Check the applicable license before copying, modifying, or redistributing material. These website terms do not replace permissions granted by an applicable open-source license.
Names and marks belonging to other services remain the property of their owners. References to GeekTyper, HackerTyper, or other products do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
Links to GitHub, Discord, Google, sponsorship platforms, and other services lead to independently operated services with their own terms. Any voluntary financial contribution made through an external platform is subject to that platform’s payment and refund rules. It does not, by itself, purchase a guaranteed feature or service level from NinjaType.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains local storage, online race information, analytics, hosting, security providers, and your privacy choices. Agreeing to these terms does not replace any separate consent that applicable privacy law requires.
Availability and changes
Features, limits, supported browsers, and content may change. The service may be interrupted, suspended, or discontinued for maintenance, security, operational, or other reasons. Where legally required, notice or other protections will be provided. No specific level of uptime or continued availability is promised.
These terms may be revised as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where required by law, and any legally required consent will be sought. If you disagree with revised terms, stop using the service.
Disclaimers and limits of responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, NinjaType is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure in every circumstance, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the maintainer is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from use of or inability to use the service. You are responsible for how you use your results and for keeping any records you need.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable mandatory consumer protections. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law.
Questions and concerns
For questions about these terms or a problem with the service, contact [email protected] or use the contact page. Include the affected feature and enough detail to explain the issue. Nothing in these terms prevents you from exercising rights or pursuing remedies available under applicable law.
