YOUR SAVED PACE

YOUR WORDSYOUR FINISH LINE ↗

A familiar pace on a fresh passage

You set the benchmark.
Then you chase it.

Choose a 15, 30 or 50-word track. Ghost Race projects your fastest valid saved average WPM onto the passage. The shadow gives you a moving reference while you focus on typing the words correctly.

It is an average-pace challenge, not a replay of your old keystrokes. Every fresh passage is another opportunity to apply the skill instead of memorizing one run.

ZType vs. NinjaType

Different games.
A good reason to type.

ZType: type to shoot

ZType turns words into targets in a space-shooter game. Its arcade challenge is built around completing words as part of that battle.

NinjaType: type toward your next finish

Ghost Race centers on completing a passage against your saved pace. NinjaType adds lessons, solo tests and friend rooms, so the game can be one part of your daily typing routine.

It does not recreate ZType’s ships or combat. Come here for a personal pace challenge with a place to practise the movements behind it.

A few things to know.

Is NinjaType Ghost Race a space-shooter like ZType?

No. ZType is a type-to-shoot game. Ghost Race is a typing passage challenge against a shadow based on your saved average WPM. It offers a different kind of game motivation.

What does the ghost represent?

The ghost uses your fastest valid saved average pace on a fresh passage. It is not a replay of individual keystrokes. If no baseline exists yet, complete a run to establish one.

Do I need another player to start?

No. Ghost Race is a solo mode, so there is no live opponent to arrange. For real-time competition with friends, use NinjaType’s multiplayer typing rooms.

Will playing replace touch typing lessons?

A game can give you a reason to practise, but a difficult finger movement may need a slower exercise. NinjaType lets you switch from Ghost Race to QWERTY lessons or a solo accuracy test.
