Is NinjaType a free TypeRacer alternative?

Yes. NinjaType offers free browser-based multiplayer typing races, solo typing practice and touch typing lessons. You can enter a race with a nickname and a security check; no account is required.

Can I race my friends on the same text?

Yes. Create a room, choose its settings and share the invitation link. Racers use the same passage and ready up before the countdown. Choose a rematch after the results to play again.

What if my friends type faster than I do?

Try a Time race so everyone gets the same typing window. A Words race is a finish-line challenge, where a fast finish can end the round sooner. Practise accuracy in a solo test or finger lesson between races.

Does my TypeRacer account or history transfer?

No. NinjaType and TypeRacer are independent services. NinjaType saves your completed attempts and practice streak in this browser; it does not import your TypeRacer account, ranking or race history.

Can I play without waiting for a live opponent?

Yes. Use solo typing practice, or try Ghost Race against your saved best average pace. Live room availability varies, so inviting friends is the clearest way to arrange a multiplayer session.
